Corrected times in PY and IRC are based on the results sheet on the club notice board

Seven yachts took advantage of a warm, sunny evening with light northerly breezes. On the first leg, out of the mouth of the River into the bay, Jacobi soon began gaining on the other boats. She managed to stay out of trouble at the Dennis mark, where Jabadeo was having some spinnaker problems. Jetta began to work her way up through the fleet on the spinnaker leg to Dennis, and then back towards the start at Gew. The race kept the spinnaker packers busy, with fairly short distances between marks, and Jacobi's crew had to fit five spinnaker launches into a forty-five minute race. Jacobi was first over the finish line, followed by Jetta and Demolition. Fortunately, unlike the past two windy weeks, there were no reports of torn sails or equipment failures, and as a bonus there were good views of a dolphin near the mouth of the river.
