The strong and gusty wind made for a lively evening. It has been reported that a crew member of one boat did a somersault into the sea as his boat broached, only to have a second dip shortly thereafter. To have the same person overboard twice in one race could be a club record.

The wind was light Northerly, and the course set was 17. After Magic Bus the four following IRC yachts finished within 40 seconds of each other
on corrected time showing the closeness of the leading five yachts in the light conditions.
